ExecShot vs Aragon AI

This is our own comparison, so read it with that in mind. Aragon beats us on price and on how many images you get, and both of those are in here, because a comparison that hides them is not much use to anyone deciding between the two.

Where Aragon AI is the better choice

  • On price it usually wins. It lists at $35 but is discounted much of the time, recently as low as $12, which is well below our $29.99.
  • It is an established product with a long public track record and a large volume of published reviews.
  • It returns more images than we do at every tier: 40 at entry against our 30, rising to 100 on its top tier.

Our take

All true, and worth doing the arithmetic on. At their discounted price the gap is about eighteen dollars. To claim it you need to find six usable photos of yourself and then wait forty five minutes. If digging out those photos takes even fifteen minutes of scrolling, you have spent roughly an hour of your life to save eighteen dollars. That values your time at under twenty dollars an hour. Most people reading a page about professional headshots are worth rather more than that to their employer, and the honest question is not which costs less, it is which costs less once your own hour is in the total.

This is us

Where ExecShot is the better choice

  • We need one selfie. Aragon asks for six, which for most people still means a photo hunt before they can even start.
  • Our results come back in under two minutes. Aragon quotes 45 minutes on the tier most people buy, and 15 minutes even on its most expensive one.
  • Their entry tier locks you to one outfit and one background, so the 40 images are variations of a single look. Our 30 vary across settings and outfits, and the 20 custom generations let you ask for something specific in plain language.

Which should you pick

If eighteen dollars matters more to you than an hour does, Aragon wins and you should go there. For most working professionals it is the other way round: one photo and two minutes, against six photos and forty five, is the difference between this being done before your coffee cools and it staying on your list for another month. Add that their entry tier gives you one outfit and one background, so those forty images are variations of a single look, and the cheaper option starts to look like the more expensive one.

Questions

Common questions about choosing between ExecShot and Aragon AI.

Usually not. Our entry pack is $29.99. Aragon lists at $35 but discounts much of the time, recently as low as $12. If price is your only consideration, Aragon is very likely the cheaper option on the day you buy.

Different approach. Tools that ask for six or more images build a model of your face from the set. We work from a single clear front facing selfie, which means less setup for you and a much faster turnaround, and it is why the upload step takes seconds rather than an evening of searching your camera roll.

With ExecShot you own every headshot you generate and can use it commercially with no licence terms and no recurring fee. Check Aragon current terms on their site, since terms change.

Quality is subjective and both produce usable professional headshots. We would rather you judge from the examples on this site than take our word for it in a comparison we wrote. One difference that is not subjective: their entry tier gives you one outfit and one background, so the variety you get differs even if the image quality does not.
