AI headshots for your LinkedIn profile

Your profile photo is the first thing a recruiter sees, and usually the only thing they see before deciding whether to read your headline. ExecShot turns one clear selfie into a set of professional headshots you can use across LinkedIn, your CV and anywhere else your name appears.

Why the photo does more work than the headline

LinkedIn shows your photo in search results, in the feed, in messages and next to every comment you leave. It travels further around the platform than any other part of your profile. A blurry crop from a wedding photo quietly signals that you are not actively looking, while a clean, well lit headshot signals the opposite. Most people know this and still put it off, because the alternative has always been booking a photographer and waiting two weeks.

What makes a LinkedIn photo work

These apply whether you use ExecShot or hire a photographer. They are also what to look for when picking your favourite from the set.

  1. Fill the frame with your face

LinkedIn renders your photo at roughly 130 pixels in most places and much smaller in the feed. A full body shot becomes an unreadable smudge. Head and shoulders, with your face taking up about 60 percent of the frame, survives the crop.

  2. Look at the camera

Profiles where the subject makes eye contact get more connection requests accepted. Looking off to the side reads as a candid photo rather than a professional one.

  3. Match the room you want to be in

Dress one step above what you would wear on a normal day at the job you are applying for, not the job you have. A software engineer targeting staff roles does not need a suit, but a collar helps.

  4. Keep the background quiet

A plain wall, a soft office blur or a neutral gradient. Anything with text, other faces or strong patterns competes with you at thumbnail size.

  5. Update it when you change roles

A photo that is eight years old creates a small, awkward gap between the profile and the person who walks into the interview. Refreshing it when your title changes is a reasonable habit.

Questions

What people ask before generating headshots for linkedin.

The generated headshots keep your real features, bone structure and expression. What changes is the lighting, background and wardrobe. Pick the results that look like you on a good day rather than the most heavily stylised ones, and it reads as a studio photo.

LinkedIn requires your profile photo to be a likeness of you, not a logo, a cartoon or someone else. Headshots generated from your own selfie are a likeness of you, so they meet that requirement. Using a photo of a different person would not.

The Essential pack includes 30 ready made headshots plus 20 custom generations, for $29.99 as a one time payment. Most people upload one selfie and pick three or four favourites for different platforms.

Every pack includes regenerations. Describe what you want changed in plain language, such as a darker suit or a warmer background, and a fresh set is created.
